thats actually not true. Both the VC and the AP use the JLC 899 base movement. The Richemont group owns both JLC and Vacheron - hence that tie up, but they have also historically made movements for many of the top watch brands, including AP. JLC is one of the few major lux watch brands that still makes all their movements in house
